Our Easter English programme is based at Bootham school in the heart of York's historic city centre. it is designed to build independence and grow English language knowledge in an English speaking environment. it is also a fantastic way to experience studying abroad for those thinking of longer term placements in York.

Places are secured by payment of a booking deposit (£250 for bookings including flight, £200 for those without flights). Registration and deposit payments can be made online here. Full details of the booking process, including deadlines and full terms and conditions are given below. Whilst payments are made in British Pounds, as a guide, using an exchange rate of €1.20 to £1.00, the equivalent prices in Euros are: £1495=€1794 and £1795=€2154.
Throughout the course, we combine learning in the classroom with practical experience outside. In small groups, students take part in English language sessions tailored to their ability and interests. They then apply this knowldege in a variety of themed workshops and activities developed to build confidence and understanding. Alongside this, we introduce participants to York and the wider county of Yorkshire with trips and visits to some of the most beautiful and significant sites in the United Kingdom. Finally we travel to London to give participants a taste of the UK’s iconic global capital.
Here is a summary of the booking process:
- Decide whether you would like to travel to the UK with our support or choose our Flight free option and meet us there.
- Complete our registration form and pay your initial deposit online. Once the payment has been made, your place is secure.
- Within 48 hours we will email you welcome you onto the course. This will include a link to add any personal information we need and details of how to make your final payment.
